High Jump Task Card

The document describes two techniques for high jump - the scissor technique and the Fosbury flop. The scissor technique involves taking off from the leg furthest from the bar, driving the closest leg up and over the bar, and using the arms to guide the body over the bar while keeping the head and upper body upright. The Fosbury flop involves running tall with an angled approach, driving the closest leg up and over the bar while pushing the hips upwards to arch the body over the bar. The legs hang loosely and the athlete lands on their back and shoulders. Both techniques include a 5-stride approach and analyzing performance with a coach after each attempt.
