1 OPENING AND INTRODUCTION

3 DISCUSSIONS

3.1 Morad Consulting were appointed on two new projects namely: Note
- Construction of Sludge Drying Beds – Kokosi WWTW project and,
- Rehabilitation (Phase 2) – Carletonville Landfill Site

3.2 Construction of Sludge Drying Beds – Kokosi WWTW project.

3.2.1 The Kokosi WWTW has an existing sludge drying bed of approximately 1 219 MB Oct 2017
square metres. The capacity of the drying bed area needs to be increased to a
total area of ±4 876 square metres by the construction of an additional three (3)
new drying beds with the same layout and method of operation as for the existing
drying beds.

All authorisations need to be in place.
3.2.2 MB Oct 2017
The existing sludge drying bed and WWTW was designed by Pro-Plan. Morad
3.2.3 can get hold of them to get information on the existing designs. MB Oct 2017

Tender document to be structured in such manner as to provide for 30%


3.2.4 subcontracting as a condition of tender as contemplated under Clause 9 of the MB Nov 2017
2017 Preferential Procurement Regulations.

The tender document to include for extensive labour intensive work to maximise
3.2.5 the creation of EPWP work opportunities. MB Nov 2017

All payments will be subject to 1% social contribution.


3.2.6 Note
The overall budget allocated to the project is R12 066 622.00 all inclusive.
3.2.7 Note
The available budget for the 2017/18 financial years is R2 933 947.00 all
3.2.8 inclusive. Note

Morad to expedite the project to catch up with the expectations on expenditure.
