I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lecture, the students shall be able to:

A. Describe Conjunctions and the difference between its three types.


B. Construct sentences using various conjunction.
C. Classify different conjunctions in text.

win.
>> The winners are those who could

“The first one is coordinating conjunction;

“This one is the simplest connector among
the three because we can use it in any
independent sentences or clauses”

“Could you please explain further

“Basically, if the sentences or clauses have


the complete thought, you just have to put
a coma however if one of them are
independent we need to use conjunction
rather than a coma or semicolon. Next
conjunction…”

“In other words, the clauses can be in any


order in a sentence as long as the “Certainly ma’am”
Subordinating conjunction comes before
the dependent clause. You got it? ”

“And for the last conjunction…”

“In much simpler words, this conjunction


is a package. You cannot use one without
the other, For example…”

“What are the differences between the


three conjunctions ma’am?”

“The differences are: Coordinating is used


to link independent clauses while
subordinating is used to link dependent
and independent clauses. And correlative
conjunction are used in pairs."
d) Application (Oral)
“Each of you will have 10 minutes to write
about your bravest moment and you must “None ma’am.”
use 5 and more conjunctions. It will be 2
points each conjunction, so below 5
conjunctions will get 2 points deduction.
You will recite it in front after you are
done. Any other concerns?”
