Classroom Blog Lesson
Classroom Blog Lesson
Importance of technology:
Using a website -creation tool is critical to the project because sometimes students leave their bookbags at
home. The students could upload their data on the classroom blog, so they can complete the class activity for
the day. The project could be completed without technology but students who leave their backpacks at home
data would be lost. The students will listen to the Audio on blog for the flipped classroom as a learning
experience.

Classroom Blog and Website Creation Tools
Inspiration (optional): I borrowed the concept of about three animals and the combination the Atlanta Zoo
received from Power point. The teacher created a picture graph of the animals and the amount the zoo
received. The teacher and students did an activity using M&Ms to create a bar graph.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy:
At the beginning of the school year, the teacher will get parents’ permission for students to use the blog. The
teacher will also follow all internet safety polices to keep students safe. My classroom blog is password
protected to ensure the safety of my students. Only parents and students will have access to our classroom
blog. Students without parental consent could turn in paper assignments.
Reflective Practice:
To further extend the lesson the teacher could post the students Favorite Animal bar graph on the classroom
blog for the parents to see. The students could look at other classmate’s data to see if there are any
similarities or differences. The students could discuss the information on the blog.
