PROJECT TITLE : TWO(2) - STOREY SINGLE DETACHED

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM :


A NEWLY WED COUPLE HAS DECIDED TO BUILD THEIR 2-STOREY HOUSE IN A LOT
WHICH INHERITED FROM THE WIFE'S PARENTS. DUE OF THEIR LIMITED BUDGET, THEY WANTED A SIMPLE
DESIGN FOR THEIR HAVEN BUT VERY COMFORTABLE FOR THEIR LIVING. TO ATTAIN THESE CRITERIAS,
THEY HIRED AN ARCHITECT WHO IS WELL-VERSED IN COST ESTIMATES SINCE IT IS IMPORTANT TO
PRODUCE A DESIGN THAT WILL MEET THE CLIENTS' LIMITED BUDGET.

PROJECT SITE FEATURES :


THE PROJECT SITE IS INSIDE LOT. FROM BEARING POINT 1 - 2 IS 20.00M LENGTH & ADJACENT TO
3-STOREY RESIDENTIAL; FROM POINT 2 - 3 IS 18.00M LENGTH & ADJACENT TO 2-STOREY RESIDENTIAL;
AND FROM POINT 4 - 1 IS 13.00M LENGTH & ADJACENT TO 2-STOREY RESIDENTIAL; THE LINE OF POINT 3 -
4 IS ADJACENT TO 15.00M ROAD RIGHT OF WAY(RROW).

DESIGN OBJECTIVES :
1. APPLY THE SETBACKS IMPOSED BY THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE (NBC).
2. AT GROUND FLOOR, THE T&B MUST CONTAIN 100 PCS. OF 200mm x 200mm FLOOR TILES; THE ENTRY
PORCH MUST CONTAIN 100 PCS. OF 300mm x 300mm FLOOR TILES; AND THE REST AREAS ARE 460 PCS
OF 500mm x 500mm FLOOR TILES.
3. APPLY THE GREEN ENVIRONMENT DESIGN

SOLVE FOR :
1. ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PROJECT.
2. TOTAL LOT AREA.
3. TOTAL LINEAR METER OF LOT LINE.
4. BUILDING FOOT PRINT (AREA IN SQ.M.).
5. AREA OF UNPAVED SURFACE AREA (USA).
6. AREA OF IMPERVIOUS SURFACE AREA (ISA).
7. HOW MANY PERCENTAGE OF THE TLA IS THE AREA OF PROPOSED BUILDING.
8. HOW MANY PERCENTAGE OF THE TLA IS THE UNPAVED SURFACE AREA.
9. HOW MANY PERCENTAGE OF THE TLA IS THE IMPERVIOUS SURFACE AREA.
10. WHAT IS THE GROSS FLOOR AREA(GFA) OF THE PROJECT.
