AIM: To prepare the following drawings to a Suitable Scale for the given designed data
1. LS & CS of a Singly Reinforced Beam
2. LS & CS of a Doubly Reinforced Beam

DESIGNED DATA: (Singly Reinforced Beam-Ref. Drawing I)


1. Clear Span 5.5m
2. Size of the Beam 300mm x 660mm
3. Thickness of the wall 300mm
4. Bearing 300mm
5. Main Bars 2 Nos, 20mm Ǿ straight
+ 2 Nos, 20mm Ǿ bent up at a distance
of span / 7 from support
6. Hanger bars 2 Nos, 12mm Ǿ
7. Stirrups 2 legged 8mm Ǿ @ 450mmc/c
8. Assume the suitable Coverers and any missing data.

PROCEDURE:
1. Set the appropriate values of LIMITS, GRID & SNAP
2. Draw the out line of the Beam using the line command
3. Draw the main, hanger and shear reinforcement using the LINE or
PLINE and other commands in the MODIFY menu
4. Show the dimensions using dimension tool bar
5. Insert the text using DTEXT command.
6. Hatch the wall using the hatch command
7. Draw other details using appropriate commands
8. Show the stirrups using OFFSET Command
9. For showing the solid bar in the c/s use DONUT command giving
inside diameter equals to zero and outside diameter equals to the
diameter of the bar.
