Introduction
Nomophobia is a proposed name for the “phobia”
of being out of cellular phone contact . However, it is a arguable
that the word “phobia” is misused and that in the majority of
cases it is another form of anxiety disorder.

The term Nomophobia is “ No-mobile-phone “ phobia

was coined during a 2018 by the UK-post office who
commissioned “yougov” , a UK based Research Organisation
evaluating anxieties suffered by mobile phone users.

With the changes of Technologies, new challenges

are coming up on daily basis, new kind of phobia
have emerged- so called “techno phobia”.

“ phobia- it is an extreme or irrational fear or aversion to do

something”

The nomophobia regarding teenage (13 to 19) has

more because of the technology that has been today. Mainly the
teen children who are attarcted to phone by social media,
games, YouTube etc..,

Day to day people were more addicted , where they

were losing their capacity of remembering and disturbing their
normal work and their needs and performing their activity In a
lazy way

Nowadays, teen became in such a way that without

phone there will be no life. They get some of the chronic
symptoms like
Anxiety
respiratory alterations
Trembling
Perspiration
Agitation
Disorientation etc..,

some of the other become like

Depression
Panic
Fear
Dependence …,etc

Mainly the problem constitutes all over the world but

I mainly considering the place near my locality in Hyderabad
where in the age of 13 to 19 years( teenage) where children
were deviating from they study and addicted to phone.

statement of the problem

The main theme of research is a Nomophobia teen in

a negative effect , where the age group of 13 to 19 years where
is really addicted to phone by social media, messaging apps,
game, where people got deviated from study and got depressed
,anxiety etc.., and feeling in a wrongly mannered way . Due to
this phone addiction children wear getting psychological
disorders etc..,
The Teenage group losing their mental strength and
mental ability and got addicted so as they can't live without
phone

Mainly the statement of the problem deals with

the addiction of phone by the Teenage group as the future
generations are growing rapidly.

concept in the study:

The main concept of Nomophobia deals with the

children who were the age of 13 to 19 years addicted to phone.
the problem persist to all the people but especially In the
teenage group who got the right stage of developing their mind
get deviated from their way and got disturbed to the phone. the
Teenage group is strongly affected because It is standard age
where their way is decided

The concept mainly deals with the topic the

addiction of phone the phobiatic disorders caused by the
phone. Main theme of this study the nomophobia is that the
teenagers affected in a psychological manner.

Review of literature
Nomophobia is Defined by “P. Clay sherrod as you
twit face”

“You will figure this one out quickly the Splendors

of everyday living are much too rapidly being consumed by
The smart devices devowing world of social media ( p.Clay
sherrod ( 2016) ”

. “It is also Defined by “Adam Alter”

he wrote a book “irresistible”
in which “ why we can't stop checking, scroll, clicking and
watching
He wrote that from cliff-hangers to earworms From religion to
pornography ”

Importance of study

At first glance nomophobia may not seem to be

such a big deal or have any major impacts on our lives.
However, with smartphones being such a substantial part of
our daily lives , the impacts resonate much deeper than initially
expected. Many people use smartphones as a crutch to avoid
certain social situations like riding an elevator, sitting in
waiting rooms, riding public transportation , or even at social
events like a dinner or party. Although the smartphone may
seem to temporarily solve the problem of awkwardness, it can
actually have negative impacts like increased feelings of
stress, anxiety, depression , or even loneliness.

Smartphones make it easy to foster virtual

relationships with distant friends and family. At what point do
these online relationships outweigh those that are physically
present? One addiction feeds another when people use their
smartphone to fuel other convulsive habits : shopping, gambling,
playing games, social media, or gossip.

All of these behaviors can have lasting

symptoms like increased loneliness, depression, anxiety,
increased stress, exacerbation of attention deficit disorders,
and even encouraging self-centeredness. A decade ago the
average human attention span was about 12 seconds, compared
to that of a goldfish with nine seconds of attention span.
However, due to the increasing need for instant gratification
and the rise of the smartphone addiction, recent Microsoft
research suggests that has dropped to about eight seconds.

objectives of the study

to study the causes of respondent for nomophobia

to study about why nomophobia has increased from date to
day
to focus on the consequences of the nomophobia
to see whether social bonding is being developed or not

Hypothesis

It is an explanation propose a phenomen. It may

be scientific and imaginary explanation given by the researcher
in my research hypothesis mainly explain about the problem
of the addiction of phone by the teenagers. It clearly states that
the research that I have given information most of the
teenagers are likely addicted to phone and they are out of mind
of education. Students were mostly addicted to social media
games , like pubg Etc..,

Nomophobia is defined as the fear of being out of

mobile phone contact and is considered to be a phobia of the
modern age. The current study set out to establish the
relationship between temperament and personality and the
development of nomophobia.

area of study

The research in which the Teenage group are

method of data collection

Data Collection is an Important aspect of any type
of research study. Inaccurate data collection can impact the
results of a study and ultimately lead to Invalid results.

Data collection methods for impact evaluation vary

along a continuum. At the one end of this continuum are
quantitative methods and at the other end of the continuum are
Qualitative methods for data collection .
The Quantitative data collection methods, rely on
random sampling and structured data collection instruments
that fit diverse experiences into predetermined response
categories. They produce results that are easy to summarize,
compare, and generalize.

Quantitative research is concerned with testing

hypotheses derived from theory and/or being able to estimate
the size of a phenomenon of interest. Depending on the
research question, participants may be randomly assigned to
different treatments.

Qualitative data collection methods play an

important role in impact evaluation by providing information
useful to understand the processes behind observed results
and assess changes in people’s perceptions of their well-being.
Furthermore qualitative methods can be used to improve the
quality of survey-based quantitative evaluations by helping
generate evaluation hypothesis; strengthening the design of
survey questionnaires and expanding or clarifying quantitative
evaluation findings.

My method of data collection is quantitative data

where questionnaire is used to collect the research data

SUGGESTIONS
My suggestion regarding nomophobia steps as follow
The Damage that Nomophobia Does … Let’s Count the Ways
1. You’re wasting time
2. You’re more anxious
3. You’re not sleeping as well
4. Your kids are picking up your naughty habits

Avoild the mobile phone to get rid of these problems where it

results for nomophobia

Coclusion

It is concluded that nomophobia should be controlled in teen age itself

From the research it is clear that some of the 5 steps to ending of using
smart phone
1. Turn off your cell phone at least an hour before bed
2. Stop shacking up with your phone
3. Set certain times to check your phone
4. Establish phone-free zones
5. Engage in real human contact
I can conclude that these were some of techniques that we can get rid of
mobile phone
