Project : Hammer Hill Road Park, Kowloon (H200308) Maximum Load : 600 kPa No. of Tests : As advised by ClienvEngineer. Location of Tests : As advised by Client/Engineer Eguipment : Rigid circular steel plate of size 300mm dia. A jack of suitable capacity Calibrated load cel/proving ring. 4 Dial gauges readable to 0.01mm and complying with AS2103 : 1978 Suitable kentledge system Deen Plate load test procedure 1. Level and prepare the area to be covered by the test plate. Remove any extraneous materials, Bed the plate on 10mm (approx) layer of standard sand, ensuring the plate is level. 2. Setup the kentledge system, hydraulic jack system and the loading device. The height measured from the test location to the underside of the kentledge system should be approximately 1m high. (Ensure the kentledge system is steady and not prone to movement). 3. Setup the reference beam, ensuring the beam is stable. Attach the dial gauges to the beam ensuring they are situated mutually at right angles to one another and at an equal distance from the centre of the test plate. (If required, the level of the reference beam should be recorded by the Client). 4. Start the 1" cycle of loading. Increase the load pressure beneath the plate to 200kPa slowly and evenly in increments of 100kPa. Maintain each increment until the rate of settlement of the plate is equal to or less than 0.01mm in 1 minute. Record the settlement at the end of each increment. 5. After step 4, unload the pressure on the plate in increments of 100kPa to zero. Record the rebound unt it is equal to of less than 0.01 mm in 41 minute. 6. The level of the plate after unloading is measured and adopted as the base datum for the main-load cycle. ra by Figo Techie Seven Und Rayne reread cme wih pe! won appeal rm Conan. seus Te coor dca ‘k Membar of the Fugro Group eee oasnety
