Problem Statement:
Despite economic hardships and challenges in Pakistan, many Afghans are unwilling
to return in the near future and due to cite security concerns and the lack of housing and jobs
in Afghanistan. Surveys of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, conducted in past articulate that they
are in dire need to solve their current livelihoods and socio-economic status, education,
existing skills and vocational trainings needs, and their protection issues.
Beneficiaries
About of 700 children of Afghan refugees will directly benefit from the project to
fulfill their basic educational requirements.

Beneficiaries Identification
A team of Al Noor Foundation consisting of multidisciplinary professionals will
survey in Islamabad and Rawalpindi region of Pakistan to identify the vulnerable
beneficiaries.

Background and Rationale:


Al-Noor Foundation is Non-Political Non-profitable and Non-governmental
organization (NGO) who has already completed similar projects i.e. Non Formal Basic
Schools and Al Noor Community Model Schools projects. In order to fulfill the role
identified for itself by AL-NOOR FOUNDATION, a multidisciplinary team of social
scientists, engineers, and human settlements planners has been created. The point of
departure of AL-NOOR FOUNDATION lies in its multidisciplinary professional resource
base and a holistic/integrated approach in the preparation and implementation of projects.
