 Scope of Work and Terms & Conditions

Work: Audit of CSR Activities by Third Party / Independent Agency

1. Travel to the location(s) where the activity/ activities have been implemented/ are being
implemented with approvals accorded in FY 2016-17 and 2017-18 (list enclosed).

2. Physical inspection/ verification of the activity/ activities and created assets(s)/ services
rendered/ being render to the community as mentioned above.

3. Interaction with community/ beneficiaries/ public representative(s) to ascertain the extent of

benefit of the targeted CSR Activity.

4. To find out and rate the quality in the scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the lowest and 5 being the
highest) of assets created/ being created out of implementation of CSR Activity/ Activities with
specific observations for assets rated 3 or below.

5. To find out and rate the quality in the scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the lowest and 5 being the
highest) of Services rendered/ being rendered to the Community out of implementation of CSR
Activity/ Activities with specific observations for services rated 3 or below.

6. A compiled list of number of CSR Activities per location of FY 2016-17 & 2017-18 i.e. NTPC
Stations/ Regional HQ/ Corporate CSR, etc. is provided in Annexure-A.

7. The detailed list of CSR activities of FY 2016-17 & 2017-18 location-wise is provided
(separate sheet for each location) in Annexure-A. However there may be variation in the tune
of (+/-) 5%.

8. The status of the up-keep of the asset(s) created out of the CSR activity.

9. To calculate the Social Return on Investment (SROI) made for each of the CSR Activity
mentioned at Annexure – A.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Agency will travel to each location(s) to audit each listed CSR Activity.

2. Report will be submitted mentioning details about each activity location-wise.

3. Sample size for the treatment group, a sample size with 95% confidence level shall be selected
at each location.

4. The comparison group shall consist of at least 10% of total sample size of treatment group as
mentioned at para 3 above.

5. The audit will be completed in 05 months from the award of the contract.

6. There will be 01 month time for compilation of data, preparation of report(s) and submission of
Report to NTPC.

7. Thus the total period of the contract is 06 months from the date of award.

 8. Payment: as per the terms defined in tender documents.

Report/ Deliverables:

1. The number and quality of assets created/ being created against the CSR Activity.

2. The quality of services rendered/ being rendered to the community/ beneficiaries against the
CSR Activity.

3. Status of Up-keep of the created Asset(s).

4. The implemented CSR activity is how much beneficial to the community.

5. Calculate Social Return on Investment (SROI) for each of the CSR Activity for which
investment from CSR Fund has been made (as listed in Annexure – A).
