Lesson 6

The document contains a lesson on angles that defines different types of angles like acute, obtuse, interior, exterior and their measurements. It also discusses angle properties and postulates such as angle addition, angle bisectors, vertical angles and using them to solve problems involving finding unknown angle measures. Examples are provided to demonstrate applying these concepts and solving for specific angle values.

Angle the union of two rays with a common endpoint. The endpoint is
called the vertex and each ray is a side of the angle.

Postulate Angle Protractor Postulate

Let O be a point on AB such that O is between A and B.

Consider OA, OB, and all the rays that can be drawn from O on one side of AB. These
rays can be paired with the real numbers from 0 to 180 in such a way that:

1. OA is paired with 0 and OB is paired with 180.

2. If OP is paired with x and OQ is paired with y, then the number paired with m<POQ is
|x - y|. This number is called the measure, or the degree measure, of <POQ.
