ABSTRACT

This study is conducted for the purpose of fulfilling ergonomics and applying

the knowledge we have learned throughout the semester. It aims to study the

difficulties of the operator, using the electric coconut grater. Which the researcher

find very important to change as the operator can get disorders and fatigues. It

includes the application of ergonomics to make the working process of the

operators work easier.

The study contains the researchers’ gathered information and data in

regards of the point of their convergence. Interview conducted to individual scraper

and observes their posture and performance in a day within a week. The

researchers were able to determine the specific areas that will work on in order to

come up with ideas and solutions. This study wants to raise the awareness about

coconut scraper who is lacking knowledge and realization in which they are prone

to musculoskeletal disorders.
