Week 1 :Sentence structure,part of speech & introducing

SETENCE STRUCTURE
Basically, a sentence must consist of one main subject (S),one main verb (V), and either one
adverb or object (O) depend on the type of verb; transitive or intransitive.
E.g.,
a. Radiology includes science and tools
S V O
Includes is transitive verb because this verb needs object to fulfill a sentence.

b. The name of the first form in the medical record varies from hospital to hospital
S V O of preposition from

Varies is intransitive verb because it needs no object. Hospital to hospital is not the
object of that sentence,it is only the object of preposition from.

Analyze these sentences in the paragraph below. Underline the main subject,verb,and
object. State whether the verb is transitive or intransitive (write them down in the column
provided)!
Each step in performing a radiographic procedure must be completed accurately in
ensure that the maximal amount of information is recorder on the image. The information that
result from performing the radiographic examination generally demonstrates the presence or
absence of abnormality or trauma. The information assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the

Part of speech is a traditional term to describe the different types of word which are used to form
sentence, such as noun, verb, adjective, adverb, and preposition. Below is the example:
