Safety Data Sheet (SDS) : 01. Product and Company Identification

Dichloromethane is a colorless liquid chemical that is flammable and hazardous. It is classified as an acute toxin if swallowed, in contact with skin, or causes irritation to skin and eyes. Prolonged exposure through inhalation or ingestion may damage organs like the liver and cause cancer. Proper personal protective equipment should be worn including gloves, eye protection and respirator in a well-ventilated area. Dichloromethane is toxic to aquatic life and not readily biodegradable. It must be disposed of according to hazardous waste regulations.
