Course Description
This is an introductory course to computer applications such as: Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft PowerPoint. This course will go over the basics to each
program, by the end of this course you should be able to create different types of documents in
Word, use different functions in Excel, create databases in Access, and create a PowerPoint.

Methods of Evaluation
Exams will cover each unit (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access). There will be Guided Practice
assigned with each chapter. The Guided Practices will be done in class, together, to learn the
chapter and at the end of each chapter a Case Problem will be assigned.
Classroom Rules
1. Come to class prepared and on time.
2. Be respectful towards your peers.
3. Follow all instructions assigned by your Teacher.
4. Follow handbook rules.
5. Stay on task, and use equipment properly.
6. Come to class with a positive attitude and be ready to learn.
Classroom Procedures
1. Be in your seat and quiet prior to bell ringing.
2. Ask permission to leave the room, and only if it is an emergency.
3. The teacher dismisses the students, you are to remain seated in your seats until the
teacher tells you that you can leave.
4. All assignments must be turned into the teacher by the due date NO LATE WORK IS
ACCEPTED.
