Acknowledgment is defined both as expressing the existence of something,
and as expressing or displaying the appreciation for something. Every
manager knows that she needs to recognize the contributions made by
employees to keep them motivated and engaged, and to ensure that there is
a positive and innovative organizational climate overall. In order to make an
employee recognition program effective, We have to decide what it is that we
want to achieve by doing it in the first place. A manager can motivate an
employee a great deal by showing gratitude and appreciation towards the
employee's accomplishments.
