The government of Andhra Pradesh issued guidelines for empaneling film producers to produce documentaries, short films, and videos that promote the state. The guidelines establish two panels - a local panel of Andhra Pradesh producers and a national panel of Indian producers. The guidelines also revise payment rates for different film formats and lengths. A committee will select producers, approve scripts, and allocate productions for the national and local panels on a rotating basis.

ORDER:

In the circumstances reported by the Managing Director, A.P. State


Film Television Theatre Development Corporation Ltd., Hyderabad,
Government after careful examination of the matter hereby issues the
following Guidelines for empanelment of producers for production of
documentaries, short films, video films etc.,
i) to empanel the producers for production of documentaries etc., in
two different segments viz., with in AP (Local) and Outside AP(national).
The local panel consisting of producers from Andhra Pradesh will produce
documentaries mostly in Telugu. The national panel consisting of producers
from all over the country will produce documentaries etc for targeting
national and international level events to promote the State.”
ii) to revise the existing rates for production of documentaries,. Short
films etc as follows. The said rates would come into force with immediate
effect:

iii) the above rates will be applicable for production of documentaries,


short films etc., for the departments of State Government on the
developmental activities of the Government of Andhra Pradesh”
iv) to allot production of documentaries to the empanelled producers
on a rotation basis giving a fair opportunity to all the producers.”
v) to call for applications from the producers through press release in
newspapers etc. along with their experience, available equipment, details of
technicians in the production team and other manpower etc. The producers
shall apply online through website of the Corporation.”
vi) to constitute a committee consisting of the following members for
scrutiny of the empanelment applications and for allotment of production
work from time to time.
For NATIONAL PANEL SELECTION (for production of documentaries
for national /international level events to promote AP).
1. Managing Director of the Corporation, Chairman
2. Technical person from Film Industry for scrutiny
of scripts.
3. Manager of the Corporation who is looking after the
subject.
4. Deputy Secretary, Finance Department, Govt. of A.P.
who is the Director of the Corporation.

The committee will fix up the cost of productions, approval of script etc.
For LOCAL PANEL SELECTION (to look after the production of
documentaries, short films etc., on developmental activities of the State of
A.P. with in A.P.)
1. Managing Director of the Corporation, Chairman
2. One member from Script writer wing from Telugu
Film Industry
3. One member from Direction wing from Telugu
Film Industry
4. Manager of the Corporation who is looking after
the subject.
vii) to authorize the Managing Director to take appropriate action for
calling of applications for empanelment and fix up the terms and conditions
and constitution of committees.
