Prior to the computers (10mins)
Teacher’s procedures:
● After the introduction, I will be letting students know that they must find as much as information about a noun.
Such as what is a noun? How many types of nouns are there? I need a lot of examples of the different nouns.
● At this point, I will have the smartboard open
● On the smartboard, I will show the students that they will be using google (show them the research bar) to
get all their information.
● I will also demonstrate a PowerPoint that has to be similar to the PowerPoint that they will be making
(just for them to get an idea).
At the computers (45mins)
Teacher’s Procedures:
● I will have students open both MS word and an internet browser
● I will direct students to the google website
● Then I will direct students to the MS Word, where they will be taking their notes
● I will let them know that they have 20 mins to find as much as information about a noun.
● After the 20 mins are up, they are going to have to get into groups of 3.
● They going to have 5 mins to put all their information together and assign their job as a team.
● Then, they will be creating a power point on Prezi about nouns.
● The next day, they will be presenting the power point as a group!
● After the power point is completed, I will have the students do a fun activity that has to do with
nouns. This is just for me to see what the students learn while doing the research and gathering
information.
