Assignment Title: Q3 Mid unit Macbeth’s downfall

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to get a score of 85 or higher on my writing assignment with minimal
grammar mistakes.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?


The purpose of this writing assignment was about who was at fault for Macbeth’s downfall throughout the
play. There was a lot characters in the play that played a role in Macbeth’s even Macbeth is at fault. His wife
Lady Macbeth is at fault for Macbeth’s downfall because she manipulates Macbeth throughout the play
which they end up both becoming evil and Macbeth kills his loved ones, he ends up with a bad reputation to
his name due to the bad things he is doing as King of Scotland.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I feel that I performed well in my writing assignment but I could have done better. I didn’t have a lot of
grammar mistakes compared to past writing assignments I feel that I improved on my grammar mistakes. If I
fix the simple mistakes in my writing I think I can get a good grade on the writing rubric.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I feel like I did well on the thesis statement which is, “. Lady Macbeth us responsible for Macbeth’s downfall
which is seen through her manipulation and hunger for power”. It is a straight forward thesis statement
because it lets the reader know how/who influenced Macbeth’s downfall.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?


I choose to revise this writing assignment because it needed to be clean up. A couple of grammar mistakes
needed to be fixed to improve the essay. An example that I used to explain how that caused Macbeth’s
downfall had to be furthered explained.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
What I am going to do better in my next writing assignment is I am going to proof read my essay before
turning it in. This will help with catching any grammatical mistakes or to see if the sentences have good flow.
I personally think I need to improve on staying on topic and to improve on that aspect I am going to ask my
self-questions like if what putting down ties with the topic.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
My goal was to get an 85% or higher on my writing assignment which I accomplished by getting a 90%. I
feel I could have done better by just proof reading it before turning it in. I am satisfied with the score I got on
my writing assignment because I managed to achieve my goal but if fix those simple mistakes, I could have a
well written paper.

3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.


4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.
