SOLAR LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM

SYNOPSIS

Now-a-days, instead of using the power from the supply line for

various operations, most of them are going for solar energy source, as it is

cheapest. They trap the solar energy and they are using it for several

applications. One such type of application is solar based light control

system. This is the cheapest method and moreover we are attaining our

desired target. This proposed system uses inexpensive energy such as solar

with combination of fan to provide cooling. Solar power channels the sun’s

energy and produces electricity through photovoltaic cell. A solar cell or

photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light energy into electrical energy.

There two functions fulfill the operation: photo generation of charge carriers

and separation of charge carriers. The block consists of Solar panel, Battery

Unit, switch and light.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The system consists of Solar panel, Battery, Inverter and CFL Lamp.

In our project, we are going to use the cheapest method by trapping the solar

energy. The trapped solar energy is used to charge the battery for lighting
purpose. We have designed and developed a system called solar based light

control system the charging unit is used to strengthen the signal from the

solar panel. The battery is used to store the solar panel voltage. Using

inverter circuit we can convert DC to AC voltage in other side of the inverter

is connected with the CFL lamp. By using this, the light will automatically

ON in night time and OFF in day time. The fan is also connected to the

battery to operate at all time.
