Philippines are expected to go higher as over the years, temperature in the Philippines has
reached 36-42°C. In the city of Dagupan last week has reached over 52°C.The Department of
Health (DOH) has been warning the public against the dangers of heat stroke for many
consecutive years now as summer approaches.
In line with this, Barangay Palapad alone has had 2 deaths similar to this cause that is
why through the initiative of Sangguniang Kabataan Council, we want to urge our citizens to be
aware, educated and prepared for the circumstance/s and if possible, alleviate the effect of the
scorching heat through a Seminar led by the DOH in our Municipal Health Office headed by Dr.
Eraño E. Garcia, our Municipal Health Officer dated on April 27, 2018 at 8 AM @ Palapad
Elementary School Covered Court. The seminar will not be limited about Heat Stroke, but to
the other relevant topics that the DOH are advocating such as Universal Health Care, Anti-
Rabies, Measles and other relevant topics that may be necessary for our townspeople.
