Job Profile: Visual Merchandiser

Job Brief:

The Visual Merchandiser will oversee the styling, processing and placement of merchandise to
ensure that all merchandise are aesthetically pleasing and set according to company standards
and guidelines. Through the creation of long-term strategies and leading company initiatives,
the Visual Merchandiser will ensure maximum productivity, profitability, operational excellence
and compliance with company procedures to create the highest quality in-store experience.

Job Description / Job Responsibilities:

 In charge of designing the display window and the layout of goods in the retail store
 Knows how to maximize the use of store space and layout
 Ensure that all the goods are presented well and are pleasing to the eye
 Must be able to give the sales persons instruction on the arrangement of goods and
ensure that they know how the gods are supposed to be arranged
 Move around the store and ensure that everything is according to the visual design they
had in mind
 Make arrangements in such a way that the goods which are popular are easy to find for
the customers
 Should be aware of all the latest fashion trends like colors and textures of the season
 Should have an understanding of retail customers’ preferences and buying behavior
 Have to make completely original designs

Job Specification / Requirements:

 Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design/Interior Design/Visual


Merchandising or equivalent
 At least 1 year of working experience as visual merchandiser or stylist.
 Highly creative, self-driven, hardworking, and results-oriented
 Has the ability to coordinate multiple projects
 Can work under minimum supervision and able to cope up with pressures and deadlines
