 Increase in speaking, listening, and comprehension
 Able to properly answer questions
 Able to understand questions
 Able to prepare a resume

Materials to prepare before teaching:

 worksheet for students with questions ;
 1. Have you ever had a job interview before? What was it like?
 2. What’s important during a job interview?
 3. How did you dress for your job interview?
 4. Do your skills and personality matter for job interviews?
 5. What questions do employers ask during an interview?

Background Information:
Majority of the issues in most adults who do not know English very well or who have some skills or
knowledge in English struggle to find jobs because most jobs offered now require you to be very fluent.
Companies that have stronger salaries would probably not consider applicants whose English is nor very
well. This lesson plan will help adults with comprehending questions and developing the skills to answer
them properly or as best to their abilities but definitely with a lot more confidence in the interviews.
Having the skill to properly answering questions at a job interview or being able to put a very well
written resume is essential to even trying to keep your jog or move up a position. Especially now in days
that businesses around the world are becoming more globally minded, English is a lot more important
than ever.

Instructional Strategy (20 minutes):

 Have students pair up in partners
 Hand out worksheets and have one partner asks the questions and write the other
partners answers thoroughly
 After 10 minutes the partners will switch and do the same thing
 For homework they will rewrite their responses to the questions they were asked but in
a more professional way
 They will also write 10 general questions that they believe would be asked at a job
interview and write their own responses
Next day in class the same partners will answer each other questions that they have written
themselves and evaluate the different answers
