Itl 604 Tpe Reflection

Yvette Picon has been developing as a professional educator over the past year through various professional development activities and reflecting daily on her teaching practice. She participated in over 10 staff meetings, 3 district meetings, and a math mindset conference. Her goals are to connect more with families to support student success and push students, especially those with special needs, to their highest potential. She attached a family involvement brochure. For TPE 9 on instructional planning, she observed a special education teacher. She has learned the importance of carefully planning for and engaging special education students based on their IEPs, using scaffolding strategies and universal design for learning principles. She is monitoring student growth and adjusting instruction accordingly.
