SITE SELECTION
• The site is located in Nodia, west Delhi.
• This area is fast developing with great potential for mixed use.
• Locating cultural center in such a place not only provides entrainment
but also encourage them to connect with their culture.
• As the site is in the core, traffic congestions may not be a big issue.
• The declared green belt zone fuses into the site along the drain from
northern side, which has dense vegetation.
• The site acts as a mediator fusing contemporary buildings in northern
southern part and also between green open spaces and recreational areas.
LOCATION : Hebbal, Bangalore
North east of Hebbal lake
SITE AREA : 47900 SQ M

• The site I have chosen for the design of cultural center is located in Habbel ,
Bangalore near lakefront .
•The proposal is an effort to establish a link between the city and its lakefronts
through cultural public or semi public spaces.
• The idea is to generate a landmark for Bangalore and offer a boost to its lake
conservation aspirations.
• It is well established fact that cultural landmarks on water front sites have led to
enhancing of awareness and activities regarding the water eco systems and their
importance
• Example Sydney Opera house Australia, Kilden performing arts center Norway.
