1 Diagram 1.1 shows the apparatus set – up for an experiment to construct the
electrochemical series based on the potential difference between pairs of metals in a
simple voltaic cell.

Rajah 1.1 menunjukkan susunan radas bagi eksperimen untuk membina siri elektrokimia
berdasarkan perbezaan potensi antara pasangan logam dalam satu sel voltan ringkas.

Copper plate is paired with zinc, lead, iron, aluminium and magnesium metals in
Cell I, Cell II, Cell III, Cell IV and Cell V respectively. In each cell, copper acts as
the positive terminal.

Plat kuprum dipasangkan dengan logam zink, plumbum, ferum, aluminium dan magnesium dalam
Sel I, Sel II, Sel III, Sel IV dan Sel V. Dalam setiap sel, kuprum bertindak sebagai terminal positif.
