OVERALL COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS:

The lesson was English for 4th-grade class. The student's profile was multi-ethnic mostly
Ugandan and other students from East African countries. There wasn’t any special education
needed students, but some students have accent problem who came other countries but not look
big problem very new ones have others already adapted that’s mean new ones also within a few
months they can solve that problem. Otherwise, the teacher-student relation was good, generally
was a successful lesson, students were enjoying when they were learning, the teacher used
teaching materials effectively such charts, smart board, youtube videos, etc then also he gave
short reading topics and one short written task. Off task by students happened very few times and
the teacher re-directed very fast. The teacher’s class management was proper; he used
appropriate strategies. He used verbal communication mostly but also his facial connection was
not bad. He used different techniques and methods during the lesson; it was successful all of
them, he started with demonstration, question-answer then divided the class into small groups.
He graded them after each part of the lesson, and this encouraged them to participate in the next
section. In conclusion, the lesson was very successful; the teacher used appropriate methods and
strategies, teaching materials used enough and proper by the teacher, class and time management
were also appreciable.
