Reinforced Concrete Design: Considering S1

The document provides details on the design of slabs for the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building. For each slab, moments are calculated considering short and long spans. Minimum and maximum reinforcement ratios are calculated based on the material properties. The required area of steel is determined based on the calculated moments. The number and spacing of reinforcing bars is selected to meet the area of steel requirement while satisfying cover and maximum spacing criteria. Reinforcement for both short and long spans of each slab is designed in this manner.
