3. Velcro is now use for quickly attaching tow items together, such as straps on trainers. It primarily developed
for anchoring items in zero gravity.

4. Microwave ovens were originally invent for use on Skylab to enable astronauts to warm up their meals
safely. They now commonly use in many kitchens on Earth.
III. Identify the problems in these sentences with comma splices and run-ons and correct them.

1. The students were at the event, the event was at South Campus, it was held in room A-200, the engineer
was John Doe.

2. I am considering a career in engieering, however I am not sure I will like the work.

3. I love to write papers I would write one every day if I had the time.

4. The results of the study were inconclusive, therefore more research needs to be done on the topic.
