Planning and Analysis of Sia Flow Chart

1. The document discusses different types of flowcharts including system flowcharts, document flowcharts, schematic flowcharts, program flowcharts, and process flowcharts. It describes the purpose and components of each type. 2. Guidelines for creating flowcharts are presented, including using standard symbols and ordering steps sequentially from top to bottom and left to right. 3. The main flowchart symbols are defined, including those representing flow, processing, decisions, terminals, inputs, outputs, and storage. Standard flowchart construction is explained.

1. Flowchart

Flowchart is a chart with certain symbols that describe the sequence of processes
in detail and the relationship between a process (instruction) and other processes in a
program. Flowchart used for analyzing, designing, documenting a process or program
in various fields. In addition, the flowchart can clarify a groove of a system either lack
or excess of various stages of the process within a system.

Understanding flowchart according to expert opinion:

1. Pahlevy (2010)
Flowchart is a picture in the form of a flowchart of algorithms in a program, which
states the direction the program flow.

2. Krismiaji (2010)
Flowchart is an analytical technique used to describe aspects of information systems
in a clear, precise and logical.

3. Indrajani (2011)
Flowchart is a graphical depiction of the sequence of steps and procedures of the
program.

2. GUIDELINES FOR MAKING FLOWCHART

If an analyst and programmer will make a flowchart, there are some instructions
that must be considered, such as:

1. Flowcharts are drawn from the top to bottom and left to right pages.
2. The activities Described must be carefully defined and this definition must be
understood by the reader.
3. When activities begin and end must be clearly defined.
4. Each step of the activity must be described using a verb description, for example
calculating sales tax.
5. Each step of the activity must be in the right order.
6. The scope and range of activities that are being described must be carefully
searched. Branches that cut off the activity being described need not be depicted on
the same flowchart. The connector symbols must be used and the branching placed
on a separate page or completely removed if the branch is not related to the system.
7. Use standard flowchart symbols.
Flowcharts are divided into five types items, namely:

1. Flowchart System

Flowchart System is a chart that shows the workflow or what is being done in
the system as a whole and explains the sequence of procedures that are in the
system. In other words, this flowchart is a graphical decryption of the combined
sequence of procedures that make up a system.

Flowchart System consists of the data that flows through systems and
processes that transform that data. Data and processes in the system flowchart can be
Described online (directly connected to a computer) or offline (not directly
connected to a computer, for example typewriters, calculators or cash registers).

2. Document Flowchart

Document flowchart or Also called the flow chart form (form flowchart) or
flowchart paperwork is a flow chart that shows the flow of reports and forms
Including copy-copy. The flow chart of this document uses the same symbols as
Reviews those used in the system flow chart.

3. Schematic Flowchart

Schematic flowchart is a flow chart that is similar to the system flow chart, the
which is to describe the procedures in the system. The difference is, besides using
schematic flow chart symbols of the system flow charts, Also using images and
other computer equipment used. The purpose of using Reviews These images is to
Facilitate communication with people who do not understand the flow chart
symbols. The use of Reviews These images makes it easy to understand, but difficult
and long to draw.

4. Flowchart Program

Flowchart program is a chart that describes in detail the steps of the program
process. Program flow charts are generated from the system flow derivation.

Flowchart program can Consist of two types items, namely flowchart program
logic (program logic flowchart) and detailed flowchart of computer program.
Program logic flowcharts are used to describe each step in a computer program
logically. The logic flowchart of this program is prepared by systems analyst.
5. Process Flowchart

Process Flowchart is an industrial engineering drawing technique that breaks

down and analyzes the next steps in a procedure or system. The process flow chart
uses five separate symbols as shown in the table below.

Process flowcharts are used by industrial engineers in studying and developing

manufacturing processes. In system analysis, this flowchart is used effectively to
trace the flow of a report or form.

3. TYPE OF FLOWCHART

Flowchart is a set of certain images to express the flow of a program that will be
translated into one programming language. The use of flowcharts is the same as
algorithms items, namely to write down the flow of the program but in the form of
images or symbols.

The flowchart is divided into two (2) parts items, namely:

1. The flowchart that describes the flow of a system

2. flowchart that describes the flow of a program.

4. SYMBOL - SYMBOL FLOWCHART

Here is a symbol - symbol used in preparing a flowchart

1. Symbols Flow (Flow Direction Symbol)

Symbol Name Symbol Meaning of Symbols

Flow To state the course of a process

To state the transmission of

Communication link data from one location to
another
To express the connection of
On connector the process to another within
the same page

To declare a connection from

Off connector the process to the different
pages

2. Process Symbol (Symbol Processing)

Symbol Name Symbol Meaning of Symbols

To declare an action (process)

Computer processing
is done by computer

To declare an action (process)

Manual activities
which is not done by computer

To indicate a specific
Decision table condition that will result in two
possible answers: yes or no

To declare the beginning or

Terminal
end of a program

To indicate that the data in this

files symbol will be saved to a
specific media
manual input To enter data manually

3. Symbol Input Output (Input Output Symbol)

Symbol name Symbol meaning of Symbols

To state the input / output

Input / output without depending on the type
of equipment

To state input or output is

disk storage derived from the disk saved to
disk

To record data on transactions

Document
that occur

display To print the output on screen

CONCLUSION

Flowchart is a picture or a chart showing the sequence and the relationship

between the process with intruksinya. This picture represented by the symbol. Thus each
symbol illustrates a particular process. While the relationship between the process is
defined by a hyphen.
