NOTE:
Troubleshooting history:
1. Replace the NGS air filter, ops TEST failed.
2. Replace the NGS ASM inlet pressure sensor, ops
TEST failed.
3. Replace the NGS flow/temperature sensor, ops TEST
failed.
4. Replace the NGS air separation module, ops TEST
failed
Continue to troubleshoot with
1) perform a leakage check of the NGS system per
AMM task DMC-B787-A-47-11-00-03B-364A-A
NOTE: should pay close attention to ducting of the NGS
heat exchanger. It is very difficult to locate the leaks
sometimes (due to the low flow through the NGS
System). It's important to check the entire system
thoroughly, we have had history of other operators
locating leaks in the MDC second stage compression
inlet and outlet ducts. In addition, check for leaks near
the LRUs that have been replaced. Considering the heat
exchanger was recently replaced then this area is a very
likely candidate
2) Inspection evidence of FOD within the air filter, we
would suggest performing a borescope inspection of the
ducting upstream of the filter head to verify it is FOD
free. If additional FOD is found the NGS assembly may
need to be disassembled for cleaning.
