Dear British American Tobacco Group Recruiting Team,

I checked your website and i saw that there is an opening for the global graduate program in
marketing department, with this letter i would like to express my interest to work at BAT as well
as my key qualifications for the position.

I am a fresh graduate from industrial engineering program at Universitas Surabaya. I graduated


with total GPA of 3.71 and took sustainable supply chain system as my concentration. Before i
graduated, i interned at a FMGC company that produces pharmaceuticals products and took a final
project under the wing of their head of supply chain on workload analysis and management in
warehouse. My lecturer also endorsed me as 'Out of the Box' after she looked at how i managed to
build an algorithm and mathematical model while also integrating the solution into a Microsoft
Excel file with the help of VBA and Solver.

After i did the project, and finished my internship i found out that i never really am interested in
working in manufacturing and logistic operation but i really like the process of problem solving.
Beside of that, i was always interested in economics especially business and commercial
development, if you see my transcript you would find that i am excelling in market research,
strategic planning, basic economics, economic engineering, and all statistics course. I am also good
in operation research and calculus which means that i have basic understanding in mathematical
modelling which right now is valuable in marketing and commercial development.

Outside of University, i had an entrepreneurial experience. The business was called AID+, it was
a little side clothing business that i did with my colleagues at 2015 until 2017. As a team we built
strategy and implemented it, and i worked mostly in the marketing & public relations, making
advertisement, writing contents, communicating with retails and selling the products online. I am
also currently active as a volunteer at TEDx JalanTunjungan as an event management runners.
This is why i think i am perfect for this program, i have all the basic framework of marketing but
never had any experience of it in a big company. If i enrolled in this program i am sure that it will
sharpen my knowledge and i will be able to be valuable for BAT Group.

I hope that this letter is enough to help you get the insight to my key qualification and interest to
this role. I would appreciate the opportunity to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
