1. Understand the assignment.
2. Choose a good topic that you love.
3. Pick an original topic.
4. Keep in mind that you can change your topic.

Each body paragraph consists of a topic
sentence and evidence supporting the
topic sentence. The topic sentence
introduces the main idea of the body
paragraph and links the paragraph back to
the thesis.
