OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR OILY WATER


SEPARATOR
 CHECK POWER FOR ALARM SYSTEM ON,

 CHECK INLET TO SEPARATOR & OVER BOARD V/V S OPEN,

 CHECK BALL V/V S A & B ARE OPEN,

 FILL SEPARATOR COMPLETELY WITH SEAWATER BY OPENING V/V S


C & D AND CHECK THE FUNCTION OF THE SEPARATOR ALARM AND
CHANGE OVER V/V BY PRESSING THE TEST SWITCH IN THE ALARM
PANEL,

 SHUT THE V/VS C & D, START BILGE SEPARATOR SERVICE P/P AND
GIVE FEED MAINTAIN A PRESSURE OF 1.2 ~ 3.0 BAR IN THE
SEPARATOR, THIS ADJUSTMENT CAN BE DONE BY THE OUTLET
PRESSURE ADJUSTING V/V,

 INTERMITTENTLY CHECK FOR OIL BY OPENING THE TEST COCK E,

 AFTER USE, FLUSH THE SEPARATOR SYSTEM WITH SEAWATER AND


SHUT INLET V/V TO SEPARATOR & THE OVERBOARD V/V.

NOTE:

 DISCHARGE OF OIL OVERBOARD IS PROHIBITED.

 DO NOT OPERATE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM CHIEF


ENGINEER.
