Contemporary Teacher Leadership – Project Proposal

Title: Make sure this reflects the type of change you are making.

The strand:

Background

Outline the background to your project. For example, you may have decided to evaluate a policy
enacted within a school e.g. anti-bullying policy- find this policy on the web for your school (state/
catholic/ private). Briefly outline the policy and its importance to school improvement.

This background statement should be no longer than one paragraph; concise and to the point.

Scenario

State the context, in clear detail and show the purpose of the policy the question for improvement
that you are planning. Keep it realistic, within context, and its intention for the school. Make sure
that it is no longer than 1 paragraph.

Project Plan

(a) Goal of the action research project to be undertaken outside the faculty.
This differs from RTL2 where planning a proposal for action research is within the faculty and
specifically with the classroom.

(b) Type of intervention that you intend to undertake?


(c) How you intend to measure improvement? Measure outcomes
(d) Outline the timeline for the project?
(e) How does this lead to a cycle of continuous improvement?

You will need to use evidence to support that your proposal suits the school context, and is age
appropriate.
