Palmeco Construction Methodology - Instabuild

The document outlines the 11-step methodology for constructing a building using the Palmeco Wall System: 1) Excavating and pouring the foundation concrete, which supports the entire building. 2) Erecting the structural Palmeco wall system, which incorporates a cold steel frame to structurally resist loads and earthquakes. 3) Installing the pre-cut light steel roof frame system, which is faster than conventional trusses due to pre-cut sections and punched holes for connections. 4) Completing interior finishes like ceilings, walls, floors, electrical, and plumbing prior to exterior finishes and paint work. 5) Conducting punch listing and repairs over 15 days before

Methodology for Palmeco Wall System Construction

1. Foundation
The most important part of the building is the foundation, this is the first and most critical of all
scopes of works, it is the one holding all the weight of the building, the works includes excavation,
backfill, earthfilling & compaction together with the reinforced concrete works.
After outlining the layout of the building to the specific lot the excavation of the isolated footing
together with the footing tie beam and slab on grade will follows.
2. Structural Wall System
Palmeco Structural Wall System is a new technology and believed to be first in the Philippines, it
is the product of continuous innovation on the use of the Palmeco Board, first as an interior
partition system and soon incorporated by wall frame system in order to structurally resist
earthquakes and loadings. This is the second level of constructing using this system. Done by
incorporating the cold steel frame to the wall, must be properly installed during the construction.
3. Roofing and Roof Frame System
After all the Structural Wall System is installed the Roof frame follows. It is the same as the
convention system of installing the roof framing the only difference is it uses light cold steel frame
instead of conventional heavy steel trusses and purlins, it is faster to install because of the pre-
cut sections and connection is easy because it has a ready punched hole for the screwing and no
need for high powered equipment such as welding machines, etc. The roof insulation and
installation of roof is the same as in conventional method.
4. Ceiling Works
Ceiling is the part of the house where it is acting also as an insulation to weather and noise
reduction. After the cold frame system is installed the ceiling board follows and fixed by screwing
it to the frames and later for paint primer and paint finish.
5. Wall Finishes
Interior Wall finishes add an accent and ambiance to the house. It is carefully matched to soothe
a person’s view. It is properly installed and fixed to the wall system by screwing before sealing
with sealant and before application of paint finishes. Exterior finish will be paint with elastomeric
paint to ensure the water moisture protection of the wall.
6. Floor Finishes
Same as in wall finishes.
7. Electrical Work
Electrical conduits is pre-installed in the wall. The wirings will be installed after the wall system is
finished or in accordance with the workflow. A High Density Polyethylene Plastic will be used as a
conduit.
8. Plumbing and Sanitary Work
All sanitary and waterline will be installed prior the cladding or the installation of the wall finishes.
It will be properly place not to disturb the integrity of the system.
9. Paint Works
An approved colour of paint will be used to for the finishes of the unit.
10. Punch listing and Repair
Punch listing will be requested a day prior the day of inspection and repair will take place after.
The repair and punch list will accumulate a total of fifteen (15) days.
11. Turn Over of Unit
The turnover of unit will follow after the punch listing and repair is done. If no punch list proceed
to the turnover of unit. The project management will issue certificate of acceptance as needed.
