SUBJECT

LAB REPORT # ___

PRACTISE TITLE: __________________________

1. GENERAL OBJECTIVE
- Set the general purpose of the practice.

2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- Set more particular goals or tasks you will perform to accomplish the general
objective.
3. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
In here, the students have to specify the main concepts (to describe them) used in the
laboratory experience. In addition, in chemistry, students have to write the technical
datasheet about the chemical compounds used in the laboratory.
Different sources of information should be checked. For high-school, APA rules must be
used for quoting.
4. MATERIALS AND REACTANTS
List the materials needed for this activity, as well as the reactants (chemical substances if
applies) used in the laboratory. The reactants should be the same ones listed and described
in the theoretical framework

5. PROCEDURE
The procedure must be shown as a flow chart using the following symbols
6. RESULTS
In this part of the lab report, students have to inform what was done at the laboratory.
Pictures may be included. Charts are mandatory in order to organize data. Graphs might
be included as well.

7. RESULTS ANALYSIS
In this part, students must explain WHY they got those results. For doing so, the
theoretical framework must be used, aiming to relate the results gotten from
experimentation to the theory behind the practical work.

In chemistry, chemical equations and calculations must be shown.

In physics, graphs and calculations are mandatory to analyse data.

8. CONCLUSIONS
Regarding to the objectives, students conclude what happened and why happened,
evaluating what was learnt.

9. BIBLIOGRAPHY
Where did the students find the information contained in this lab report? APA format.
