NOTE: Before attempting assignments, please read the following


instructions:
1. All questions are compulsory.
2. Read each question carefully before writing an answer.
3. Read the relevant units of the study guide for writing the answer of a question
and arrange the points in an appropriate manner for the answer.
4. You may take help from other resources such as books, websites and other
online resource for writing the answer of a question.
5. You must mention the resources used for writing an answer, at the end of the
answer.
6. Assignment should be hand written. Typed assignments will not be accepted.
7. Write the answer in your own words.
8. The answer of a question must contain at least 1200-1500 words.
9. Leave 2-3 lines after every answer so that the tutor may provide feedback on
your answer.
10. Send each assignment separately under postal cover.
11. You will receive your assignment back after it is checked.
12. If any part of your assignment is not marked or there is an error in the
calculation of total score of assignment, than you may contact your tutor /
regional center for further guidance

Q. 1 Elaborate need and scope of management. Discuss different features of

Q. 2 Explain evolution of different approaches of management. (20)

Q. 3 Suppose you are coordinating construction of building in your institution,


prepare PERT diagram to explain its process step-wise including all
activities. (Please follow guidelines to prepare PERT diagram). (20)

Q. 4 Differentiate between strategic, administrative and operational decisions.


Also explain process of strategy evaluation and its significance. (20)

Q. 5 Describe the concept of performance appraisal. Illustrate ‘past oriented


methods of appraisal’ with specific examples. (6+14)

Q. 2 What is ‘quality management’ and its importance? Describe process

Q. 3 Define change management. Explain different skills used to manage


change in an educational organization. (4+16)

Q. 4 Discuss the concept of DDIM with your colleagues in your institution. Then
draft the ‘sub-goals’ and ‘objectives’ for Mathematics and Science at
Elementary Level. (20)

Q. 5 Classify different techniques for forecasting achievements of the learners


in educational institutions. (20)
