Ype of Statistics Which Deals With Making Conclusions. It Inferences About The Predictions For The Population. It Also Analyses The Sample

The document discusses different types of statistics and sampling methods. It explains that descriptive statistics describe data through quantitatively analyzing important features, while inferential statistics make conclusions about populations from samples. Random sampling selects a sample where all members have an equal chance of selection, unlike non-random sampling. A valid and reliable questionnaire has answers that are both true and consistent. The document also notes that statistics are essential in science for validating experiments and providing insights, testing hypotheses, and making predictions.

1. The two general classifications of statistics are the descriptive statistics this type of statistical
analysis which helps to describes about the data in some meaningful way. This statistics is used
to describe quantitatively about the important features of the data or information. The other
one is the inferential statistics this type of statistics which deals with making conclusions. It
inferences about the predictions for the population. It also analyses the sample.
2. Random sampling is the method of selecting a sample size (n) from a universe (N) such that
each member of the population has an equal chance of being included in the sample and all
possible combinations of size (n) have an equal chance of being selected as the sample. While
non- random sampling is judgment or purposive sampling.
3. We can say that our questionnaire is valid and reliable when Valid in the sense that their answer
is correct or true. Reliable because their answer is consistent.

4. Statistics is also used in all sciences, since it is an essential part of validating experiments.
Actually, probability theory constitutes the logic of science. Statistics can provide insight,
help you understand things, test alternative hypothesis, used to make predictions (with an
estimate of the accuracy) and sharpen your reasoning. Statistics is also a way of thinking,
which is quite useful as well.
