Functionality of An Academic Library Using Standard For Philippine Academic Libraries Model

This document summarizes a study that assessed the functionality of the Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Tuburan Campus Library based on the Standard for Philippine Academic Libraries (SPAL). The study found that the library was rated as Very Functional in all nine components of the SPAL by faculty evaluators. However, campus librarians rated some components as only Functional relating to physical facilities, IT facilities, and linkages/networking. Overall, the strengths of the library included its collections and administration, while weaknesses included some aspects of collections and physical facilities. The study concluded the library generally meets the standards to support the university's educational mission.
