To deactivate a BAdI, go to transaction SE18 and search for the BAdI by name. Go to the implementation menu, create a new implementation with a name starting with z, add a short text description, and save it. Finally, activate the new implementation which will deactivate the default one and prevent it from running. This allows customers to disable a specific BAdI like the Top Ten List example in LSO.

How to deactivate a BAdI

For example the Top Ten List in LSO


The Top Ten list is only provided as an example for customer to use. If the customer wants to disable it the instructions are
below.

Solution

Goto transaction SE18 and select the BAdI Name Radio button. Type the name of the BAdI which is
TRAININGTYPE_ADV_C.

Then press the Display button.

You will then be brought to the display definition screen. Go to the menu item 'Implementation' and select 'Create'.

Type in an implemetatation name starting with the letter z to put it in the customer namespace.

Next add the 'Implementation Short Text', for example 'LSO BAdI deactivation' and then press save.

Enter the data for this object depending on you company's requirements.
Once the save is complete. Please press the activate icon (control + F3.

Please note that you can only have one implementation active for the BAdI TRAININGTYPE_ADV_C at a time.
