CAPE Biology Practice Questions

The document discusses cell and molecular biology. It explains how the endosymbiotic theory describes how the mitochondrion and chloroplast became organelles in eukaryotic cells. It also discusses how endosymbionts provide evidence that mitochondria and chloroplasts are closely related. The document defines catabolism and anabolism using examples and describes four properties of enzymes, explaining the lock and key and induced fit hypotheses, including limitations of the lock and key hypothesis. It discusses how water serves important roles in biological systems through three examples.
