CPU-1 has 4 dip switches. It supports up to 120 ports only. When using CPU 1, there is no
need of inserting extra tone card as CPU 1 has in-built tone card.
Extreme right slot No.9 for Tone card which is kept blank as CPU-1 has in-built tone card.
Second from right CPU-1 (Jack is different from others) which has no slot number.
Insert all the required cards in the cabinet as per the above block diagram and put all the
dip switches of CPU-1 to OFF position. Then turn- On the system. After few seconds LEDs
in the cards starts rapid blinking which means the cards have been accepted by the CPU
and slot numbers have been identified. Now, put the 1st dip switch to “OFF” position (OFF
means – office mode) and put 2nd,3rd and 4th dip switches to ON position. It is necessary
for carrying out programming and retaining the programmed features. Otherwise while
attempting to carryout programming “locked” displays. CPU-1 has in-built tone card. So no
By the above procedure, DEC original numbers starts from 200 to 207, EC original number
Ensure position of dip switch 1 - OFF, 2nd,3rd and 4th dip switches to ON position to save
the previous programmed features.
Put 4th dip switch to OFF position and switch ON the system.
Now the system restarts and LED of the newly inserted card starts to blink rapidly. By
this procedure, the newly inserted card have been accepted by the CPU. Since dip
switches 2 and 3 are kept in ON position previously programmed flexible numbers will be
kept intact. While putting dip switch 4 in OFF condition will reload all the cards, clear all
the DSS key settings, clear auto redial, function keys (KTS & DSS) will be set to default &
reception line will be re-defined. Again to further carryout programming of newly inserted
card put the 4th dip sw to ON position.
To install the System, a general procedure has to be followed. The PSU Card occupies 1st
Slot (from the left) in the ADX-600 System.
There is an exclusive slot to accommodate the CPU Card. The CPU Card occupies the 2nd
slot (from the right in the 40 port & 72 port system and the 9th slot (from the right) in
the 120 Ports System. The installation of the line cards will be start from the right side
towards the left. The order of insertion is as follows:
1. DEC Card
2. EC Card
3. PC Card
4. DTM Card
In DEC, only KTS (digital phone) can work. Normal analog phone do not works. In DEC there
is PTC (yellow colour) which works as fuse. DEC has four physical ports (on paper it has 8
ports). If one port becomes defective, can use another port.
In long distance extensions, if CLI do not works properly change the jumper to 48 V in the
corresponding EC card.
DTM provides caller ID to the system.
PSU having shielded cover (like at B/1 sig) produces 48 V DC, 28 V DC and ringer voltage
of 75 V AC. Working of these three voltages are indicated by three LEDs. Battery
charging voltage is 27.5 V DC having current capacity 700 mA. AC main fuse 2 Amp and DC
fuse 5 Amp. PSU can work for AC range from 150 to 250 V AC.
Press PROG, PW- 1234, displays MODE (now enter the required mode number and carry
out corresponding programming )

programming, press flash/recall in SLT. After ending programming hang-up (place
handset).

Flex numbers can be programmed from 200 to 499 in office version and from 10 to 499 in
hotel version.
Example, to set flex numbers starting from 300 to 331 in the above EC cards:-
Prog+1234+00+63+208+239+300+331+1
Prog+1234+25+9+1
Prog+1234+31+extension number+1
(or)
All trk ports except the one in which PNT line connected to be disabled by above command.
TO DISABLE ALL TRUNK LINE BY SINGLE COMMAND:-
Prog+1234+00+30+700+707+2
Prog+1234+00+30+700+707+1
BY DEFAULT CONSOLE AND SLT HAVE ONLY LOCAL RIGHTS. TO GIVE STD
RIGHTS TO CONSOLE:-
Prog+1234+42+200+5+5+1
By default all trunk lines lands at console. To drop pnt from console to any extension there
is two commands:-
1. Prog+1234+42+trunk no+D+N+1
D and N are day and night rights
Values of D and N are:-
0 = round robbin
1 = simultaneous
2 = delay ringing
3 = operator landing
4 = one terminal termination
5 – DISA landing.
To drop pnt at one extension the command is :-
Prog+1234+42+trunk no+4+4+1 (ie one terminal extension in day and night)
Prog+1234+41+trunk no+extension number where pnt want to be dropped.
Displays pass if correct.
Again to land pnt to console:-
Prog+1234+42+trunk no+3+3+1 ( ie operator landing in day and night)
CALLER ID PROGRAMMING:- (ONE TIME MEASURE)
Prog+1234+56+00+125+001+00
Prog+1234+56+00+125+129+000
Prog+1234+56+00+051+001+00
Prog+1234+56+00+048+004+00 ( value of 4 in 004 can be changed from 0 to 9)
Prog+1234+00+33+208+499+3
( 208 starting hardware number of first EC and 499 ending hardware number)

N= Night right
Values of D and N

4 - local+STD
5 - local+STD+ISD
BULK 0 DIALLING:-
By default KTS is connected at digital port 200. DSS (Direct Station Selection), which is
also a digital extension, works in conjunction with KTS. Generally, if KTS is connected at
digital port 200 then DSS is connects at port 201.
Here if KTS is connected at 200 and DSS is connected at 201, then the key settings of
DSS are as under:-
PORT CHANGING:-
Eg.If port of extn 300 become defective and wants to change with serviceable port of extn 315.
Prog+1234+63+hardware no of 300+499+1 (499 is dummy number)
Prog+1234+63+hardware no of 315+300+1
After repairing the process of reversal:-
Prog+1234+63+hardware no of 300+315+1
Prog+1234+63+hardware no of 499+300+1
Follow me:- lift the handset of extn where u r presently sitting and dial 52+your original extn no.
Connect the terminal of paging port to PL 55 plug and insert it in mic input of PA. Lift the
handset of any telephone, dial 80 and announce the matter, which can be heard over all
To enable paging:-
