NOTE COMPLETION
OBJECTIVES

By the end of this lesson, you will learn how to deal with

• Note Completion questions in IELTS Listening

A. THEORY: NOTE COMPLETION

ACTION PLAN
 Read the instructions carefully and check the word limit.

 Look at the layout of the task and use the headings/bullets to map the main ideas/sections in
your mind.

 Underline the keywords.


 Look at the gaps and predict what type of information is needed (Number? Noun? Adjective?
Time?).

 Listen for keywords/ paraphrased words and fill in the gaps.

 If you miss the flow, stay calm, move on to the next point, and wait for the speaker.

Before listening

a. Read the notes and notice the word limit and the main parts of the conversation
b. Underline the key words and guess what type of words should be written in the blanks
