Disconnect the AC Mains power cable from its supply terminal before cleaning the
equipment. Water, soap or other liquids, if allowed to drip into the equipment they
may cause electrical short circuits. Do not place food or beverage containers on any
part of the equipment. They can tip over and introduce conductive substances into
the electrical circuits.

Important:
− Non-functioning MPU means that the MPU is not showing any sighs of
work - no LED’s on, no noise and nothing on the monitor display.
− To update the BIOS see Appendix E.
− Boot process is the process that the MPU performs from the power up to the
stage when the application software starts properly.

NOTE:
Note the Fiber Optic cables polarity (transmitter/receiver), you
will have to reconnect them the same way.
6. Disconnect the flat cable connecting between the DEEB, NPRCB and
RTEE (If connected).
7. Unscrew NPRCB bracket.
8. Remove the NPRCB board from the MPU. Be careful with the board.
Please pay special attention not to disconnect any cables during NPRCB
removal.
9. Visually inspect the PCI slot in the MPU that the new board will be
inserted to.
10. Remove the special covers from the Transmitter and Receiver connectors.
11. Insert the new NPRCB into the MPU.
12. Screw the NPRCB bracket to the MPU.
13. Connect the flat cable from NPRCB to DEEB and RTEE (If connected).
14. Close MPU external covers.
15. Connect MPU external cables (fiber optic, Camera data cable) to the
NPRCB.
16. Check the fiber optic cables and make sure they are connected properly. If
the cables are not connected properly, NPRCB - RC I/O communication
will not function.
17. Perform system verification.
High voltage inside the PDU (Rack). Do not handle PDU (Rack) internal parts
before verifying that the high voltage (110-220 V) is disconnected from the
PDU (Rack) (no high voltage on PDU (Rack) transformer).

In case of a HDD failure, check all HDD with a HDD diagnostic tool. The
recommended tool for diagnosing the HDD is the Seagate HDD diagnostic tool.
9.2.8.1 HDD Replacement General Procedure
1. Before replacing any unit, make a backup of the Databases & Registry (if
possible)
2. If camera data floppy diskette not available, use the Calibration SW to export
all camera parameters to a new floppy diskette
3. Backup all images on a DVD, or print them out to a hard copy
4. Turn off the system and open the MPU (see CH-5)
5. Check that the Jumper settings of the new HDD is as follows:
Jumper settings
Note: All HDD are set as master. System HDD is Primary master and Images
HDD is Secondary master. Refer to device configuration for more details
Images HDD Jumpers settings - Seagate

25. Double click the ‘Trend Micro’ icon at the bottom right bar of the screen.
Insert ‘Trend Micro’ the serial number (appears on the system packing list or
at the backside of the PC)
26. Check that the HDD partition after replacement is correct – follow the
instructions of section 0
27. Using the Windows XP explorer or “My Computer”, copy all the content of
the directory S:\disk\databases, to the directory D:\Drive_P\databases.
Note: Do not skip this step! Omitting this step might cause images loss!
28. From the Utility open the Backup and using your most updated backup
diskette, restore the Registry and Databases
29. Restore ‘Computer Name’ (right click ‘My Computer-> Properties->
computer name -> change (Sxxxxxx)
30. Restore TCP-IP settings – consult local network administrator
31. Logon the main application SW and check that the system works properly.
In case of a problem
In case the system would not logon due to a problem with the databases:
32. From the Utility, open the ‘Reset System’ option. Check one checkbox at a
time and try to logon again. If failed, return to the utility and check the next
checkbox by the order: ‘Delete Pending Jobs’→ ‘Delete Stored Images’ →
‘Delete Patient History’.
33. If the system logon properly, try to restore the relevant information from your
backup diskette
34. If needed, restore camera data from the Calibration SW (File-> Import)

2. If Disk 0, Disk 1 or CD-ROM doesn’t appear at all, check devices connections and
power supply.
3. If your partition D: appears in a different position from the one shown above
4. Disable the virtual memory as follows:
Right click->my computer->properties->Advanced->(Performance) settings-
>Advanced->(Virtual Memory) Change:
Select “D:” drive and ‘No paging file’ -> Set ->OK->OK->OK->OK->Yes (to
restart). (Note: After completing this section the virtual memory should be enabled
– see next sections)
If DVD is available in your system but does not appear in the ‘Disk Management’ it
could be that its driver is not properly installed, close disk management window, run
c:\drivers\dvd\install.exe and restart computer.
The DVD should be displayed as Disk2 with the drive letter “F:”
CD-ROM should be displayed as “E:”
If your device letters is different, assign the correct drive letter as shown above.

4. Replace the old MPU and connect the cables to the new MPU. In case the
new MPU has no CMT hardware, do not install yet the original HW from
the old MPU in the new one and consequently do not connect its cables
8. Verify that the system operate properly. In case of a problem, refer to the
troubleshooting section.
9. Log off and power off the system.
