Mask Rubric: Feature

This rubric evaluates masks on several criteria from commitment to concept to technical skills. It rates masks at one of four levels: novice, developing, developed, or exemplary. A developed mask incorporates a clear concept, shows personal expression that relates to the wearer's experience, uses 3D design elements effectively, demonstrates an understanding of casting processes, and has adequate finishing skills. An exemplary mask goes beyond with an imaginative concept, rich personal expression, expert use of structures and surfaces, a highly developed understanding of media, and excellent finishing techniques.
