VIRTUAL STEREOPLOTTER 1.11

PRODUCT FEATURES
Overview
Virtual Stereoplotter is a digital stereo aerial photograph processing software. This software is an result
of a research paper entitled "Virtual Stereoplotter Programming as a Spatial Application of Producing
Digital Surface Model from Digital Stereo Aerial Photograph".

The Virtual Stereoplotter was developed by using Visual Basic 2010 Express software based on
integrating the open source components and libraries among others DotSpatial 1.2, GeoStatisticalTool,
MathNet.Numerics and ZedGraph. Virtual Stereoplotter application capable to perform the Interior
Orientation, Cross Correlation, Single Model Bundle Adjustment, Inverse Distance Weighted and Median
Filtering to obtain Digital Surface Model (DSM) with spatially referenced in raster.

The DSM’s quality and accuracy were controlled by aerial photograph’s quality, Ground Control Point’s
quality, and Tie Point’s quality. The Virtual Stereoplotter software is only capable of processing one
streopair with 155 tie points in one process, so it still needs to be developed in order to be able to process
more than one stereopair with increase number of tie points to generate DSM.

Who is using?
Virtual Stereoplotter 1:11 still in the testing stage. Until now, no one uses this software for a commercial
purpose but many students use this software for a particular study. Virtual Stereoplotter 1.11 is suitable
for media of studying in the lab or in the college. Users can view the calculation process of each
photogrammetric concept, such as the interior orientation process and single model bundle adjustment
process.

System Requirements
Computer / Processor 32-Bit or 64bit. Intel Pentium Dual Core or higher

Memory (RAM) 2 GB minimum, more strongly recommended

Disk Space 152 MB for installing all software

82 MB for sample data
Operating Systems Windows XP Professional or higher

Architecture
The Virtual Stereoplotter 1.11 has two main interfaces, the Image Processing Interface and the DSM
Processing Interface. The Image Processing interface capable to perform the Interior Orientation, Cross
Correlation, and the Single Model Bundle Adjustment based on stereopair of digital stereo aerial
photographs. The DSM Processing interface capable to perform the Inverse Distance Weighted, Median
Filtering, 3D Analyst and Integrating Data. See figure below.
