Personal Statement

I am a 2010 graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University. I obtained a first class BA

honours degree in Business Studies.

I have worked in Education Training and Development with the NHS as a Project
Support Officer on a full time basis for 12 months as part of my degree and have
developed a knowledge and passion meticulous organisation. I organised IT training,
collected and reported on feedback and invigilated exams. After just five months I
was made the Trust lead on two IT Training projects and was responsible for the Trust
recieving a gold standard award from the Institute of IT Trainers. Project managing
two groups of seven people in my final year at university has also intensified this
skill set.

At university I designed and delivered a training course on time management and

organisation which was graded a 1st at 91%. My report on the importance of
evaluating training events was graded at 73% (1st) which was 10% higher than
anyone else in my year group. I received an academic award at my graduation for my
contribution to the university in terms of strategy and business analysis.

Training is my greatest passion and I want to change others' views on education in

order to help them to succeed. I am enthusiastic, loyal and ambitious and think my
experience in this area means I would be perfect for this role.
Asda’s Questions

ultimately the customer experience.

I was responsible for the IT Training at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This included
Microsoft Office, Microsoft Academy Qualifications and e-Learning. We were accredited by The
Institute of IT Training, who after reviewing all of my procedures and training material gave the
Trust Gold Standard Accreditation for the first time. The department have since named their new
training suite after me, The Page Suite.

3. How have you developed your leadership skills?

I project managed two groups of five people in my final year at university. For both modules I
received first class marks. For one of these modules I received an academic award at my
graduation for my contribution to the university in terms of strategy and business analysis.

4. What skills and experiences do you think you can bring to Asda?

At university I designed and delivered a training course on time management and organization
which was graded a 1st at 91%. My report on the importance of evaluating training events was

experience from Leeds Teaching Hospitals and university modules means I have a good
foundation for building a long term career with Asda.

5. What is your current salary?

Starting salary of £20,000 per annum, due to be reviewed November 2010.

6. What salary would you be willing to leave your current employment for?
