dream of Çréla Prabhupäda.

in Bahadurgarh, a town close to
New Delhi. The history behind
this new temple and the story of
how ISKCON obtained the land is
quite interesting and mysterious.

A Short History
In 1975, when Çréla
Prabhupäda was in Melbourne,

they were highly influenced by

The temple includes a big hall, an altar for their

mises. Being an extended project of ISKCON
Punjabi Bagh, several brahmacärés (resident
monks and pujärés) have shifted to this new
temple in order to manage the daily services.
The main altar is made of Burmese teakwood,
which was purchased from Jodhpur. The altar
walls are decorated with local artistic work in
which the internal walls are studded with glass
decorations. Beautiful colorful peacocks adorn the
four walls, and the ceiling depicts Kåñëa’s divine
räsa dance. “If you wish to experience Vrindavan
atmosphere,” Vedavyäsa says, “come to ISKCON
Bahadurgardh. In a moment, you will be trans-
ported to Vrindavan.”
In the night, with all the lights on, the temple
looks stunning. Çréla Prabhupäda sitting on his

Upon witnessing the grand opening ceremony
of the temple, Mrs. Usha Bharadvaja gratefully
expressed her thoughts, “We both had this deep

dream. Let the people of Bahadurgardh receive
the precious gift of Kåñëa consciousness that Çréla
Prabhupäda has distributed all over the world.”

The Descent of Vrindavan


The temple for their Lordships finally opened
on August 18, 2018, and the auspicious präëa-

devotees participated during the three-day festi-
