1. Brief Introduction to Micro-Project

In construction to maintain development, For any type of construction at about plot either
by individual or by a company needs permission for the construction from competent
authorities. Without the permission of these authorities any of construction work done or
any changes made in buildings are treated as illegal these authorities have full right to
demolish such encroachment or illegal construction work building bye laws are the
standard rules and regulations which are sanctioned in the formed of plan proposal and
then commencement of construction starts.

2. Aim of the Micro-Project


This Micro-Project aims at:
i. To introduction of bye laws for control and maintain development.
ii. To provide proper utilisation of space.

3. Intended Course Outcomes of the Micro-Project


i. Apply norms for minimum dimensions for various units of building.
ii. To computer various areas like carpet, floor, built up, plot areas etc.

4. Literature Review

Keeble (1969), an eminent British Town Planner in his book ‘Principles of


Town Planning’ defined town planning as the art and science of ordering the use of
land, character and siting of buildings and communication routes so as to secure the
most feasible level of economy, expediency and beauty. In his another book, ‘Town
Planning Made Plain’
Dudley (1967) in his book ‘The evolution of Town and Country Planning in
Britain’ defined urban planning as an art, where in geography is the science and
emphasized man as the centre of development. The success of planning is totally
dependent upon understanding the man, his needs, the activities and the environment he
lives in.

5. Proposed Methodology

i. First of all we understood the scheme of microproject in details and also


determined its importance
ii. We discussed about the subject of microproject.
iii. Our subject teacher told us various subjects of microproject and our group
select one of the most interesting topic i. e. “study and collect building bye
laws, Rules and regulations as per local competent authorities”.
iv. We start collection of data about our topic in guidance of our teachers.
v. And finally after collecting data, we start typing of project and finallized by
teachers.
